Rolex Day-Date 1803
Few watches make the heart beat a little faster quite like the Day-Date, especially when four digits are involved: the Pie-Pan dial gives it a depth and dimensionality that few other dial designs can match. Introduced in 1956, the Day-Date was the first wristwatch to display the day of the week spelled out in full alongside the date, a feature that quickly made it one of Rolex’s most distinguished and instantly recognizable models.
This 1803 dates to 1969 and features a beautiful Champagne Sigma dial paired with an English day disc. All lume plots remain intact and have aged beautifully over the decades, taking on a warm patina. The case is in great condition.
It’s currently fitted to a high-quality artisanal leather strap, paired with a generic Rolex-style buckle.
The watch runs very well and is presented as watch only.
