Atelier Falkenhagen Alexis
A classic men's shape in natural hemp straw, made by hand in Hamburg. The Alexis pairs traditional millinery with a light, timeless look.
The brim, about 9 cm wide and rolled at the edge, gives the hat structure and shades the eyes on bright days, in town, at a garden party or on a weekend away. Hemp straw is light, holds its shape and has a fine, natural texture.
As part of the atelier line, each Alexis is made to order in the Falkenhagen workshop.

Hamburg, since 1916, when Anna Falkenhagen opened her first hat shop on the Schanzenstraße — a time when a hat was simply what a Hamburger wore out the door. A second shop followed on Valentinskamp in 1934, her son Hans running the original while grandsons Sünke and Uwe took the new one. The house has moved five times in just over a century; Sabine and Jens, Anna’s great-grandchildren, now run it as the fourth generation.
