Ripa Ripa makes Italian resort wear in the most literal sense: nearly every piece carries the name of a stretch of coast or a quarter of Naples — Panarea, Pantelleria, Paraggi, Ischia, Capri, Mondello, Chiaia, Vomero.
The swim shorts take the classic cut and redraw it for a tailored line and a comfortable fit, several with patterns drawn by hand. The Capri shirt revisits a 1960s cut famously worn by Gianni Agnelli during his summers on the island — half polo, half shirt. The Ischia sits between a shirt and a summer jacket, in the spirit of Marcello Mastroianni, and works open over a t-shirt. Polo Mondello is cut in a thicker linen and garment-dyed with the tinto in capo technique, so the shade carries through the seasons, while Giacca Chiaia is built from a soft, breathable cotton with a heavy, durable hand.
