Light Blue Sea Island Cotton Safari Jacket
Crafted from exceptional pure Sea Island cotton in a refined 180/2 twist, this sky blue Safari jacket reinterprets the traditional sahariana with a lighter, more sophisticated character. Its comfortable fit is defined by four pointed patch pockets with central pleats and flaps, while the shirt-style cuffs bring an understated sartorial touch to this timeless outerwear piece.
Designed in Ginosa, Puglia, the jacket reflects the distinctive craftsmanship of G. Inglese: stitching is finished by hand with silk thread, the sleeves are attached by hand to create the characteristic softness around the armhole, and the buttonholes are hand-embroidered. Genuine mother-of-pearl buttons are individually attached using the traditional punto giglio, transforming an icon of Safari style into an elegant and versatile expression of Italian tailoring.

Handmade shirts from Puglia, old-world Italian craft, natural fabrics, cut and sewn by hand.
A widow in Ginosa started taking in sewing in 1955. Her grandson Angelo runs the house now, from the same atelier on Via Isola Caprera in the old town — where every shirt is still cut and finished by hand. Not partly. Not just the important bits.
Swiss cotton, Australian mother-of-pearl buttons, and edges finished in ways that carry names of their own: ventaglio, cavallino, smerlo, galletto, regina.
