Angelil

Angelil is the work of a designer named Mark, and much of it traces back to Seillans, the historic village in the south of France where he spent his summers. The Knight cap — a five-panel in cream and black, embroidered with a knight on horseback and cut with a 6.5 cm brim — is a direct nod to old hotel merchandising.

The rest follows the same instinct: vintage in spirit, restrained in execution. The Aurelian overcoat is cut from tweed wool with a wide shawl collar and sculpted turn-back cuffs, falling just below the knee — warm without weight, and worn over anything from a suit to a t-shirt. The Filo di Scozia t-shirt is made in Italy by a small family-run atelier from one of the finest cottons produced anywhere, with ribbing at collar, sleeves and hem and a tailored drop over the bicep. The Miro belts are braided Italian leather from Le Marche, in brown and black.

Luxury without the excess, as the house puts it.
